Giordano Bruno was an Italian Philosopher, Astronomer and Mathematician who made bold assumptions about the universe and the cosmos. Bruno had virtually no evidence to support his controversial claims, which ultimately put him in hot water with the Catholic Church. He was convicted of heresy against the Catholic Church and was eventually burned at the stake for his beliefs.
